Have you ever seen the 1957 movie "The Music Man"?

  I'm sure you've heard the song "76 Trombones" by M. Wilson.  The first two lines of the song go like this:  "Seventy six trombones led the big parade, with a hundred and ten cornets close at hand." 

Now, admittedly, I've never led a marching band, but I do think 110 coronets, is a bit over the top.  Not to mention 76 trombones. 

Do you have any idea how much space 76 trombone players take up?
